Psycho Kamek is a Magikoopa hypnotist who lives in Little Fungitown in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. He wears a white robe and hat with red triangle patterns at the bottom of them. After Mario is diagnosed with Bean Fever, Luigi has to go to Guffawha Ruins to retrieve Crabbie Grass. However, Luigi lacks courage to go on his own, so he visits Psycho Kamek to help him get his courage back. Psycho Kamek hypnotizes Luigi into thinking he is Mario, giving him confidence. He then thinks to himself that Luigi may be the most easily hypnotized person he's ever worked with.

Psycho Kamek seems to be a bit senile, attempting to hypnotize a Toad into believing he was a Toad; he can also sometimes be seen purposely trying to hypnotize himself in front of a mirror. This has caused the residents of Little Fungitown to begin to refer to him as Psycho Kamek.

Despite his name, it is unlikely that Psycho Kamek is meant to be the same character as Kamek. Their similar names most likely derive from the Japanese name for Magikoopas, "Kamekku", so the name "Psycho Kamek" may actually be more accurately translated as simply "Psycho Magikoopa".

In the remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Psycho Kamek is replaced with Dr. Toadley.
