"Unfortunately, this is an old game, so the chance of losing the game memory battery is mid to high." Could someone explain to me what this actually means? --Someone Else 22:20, 13 November 2007 (EST)
- I have no clue. The sentence was poorly-written anyway, so I removed it. — Stooben Rooben 15:15, 7 May 2008 (EDT)
- I was just looking at this page a minute ago. I think what it means is that the game has a medium to high chance of losing it's saved data. Either way, it doesn't really sound secure enough to put in the article. ~DarkZero 15:23, 7 May 2008 (EDT)

Image Overload[edit]
Something should be done about those images. Most of the article is made-up of nothing more than images associated with the game, leading to essentially a list-article. They either need to be closed-unless-opened, or have their sections provide at least some summary of what they are to allow for some "breathing space". The article also seems to be short on information, as most of the sections are rather short and written almost as if they came directly from the back of the box. I've taken the liberty of re-writing some of the sections and correcting the plethora of typos, but until this article is filled out more appropriately I really don't see how it qualifies as Featured. I re-named the section "You vs. Boo" to "Player vs. Boo" (avoid direct acknowledgment), but for some reason the Content box still has the old title. Redstar 08:11, 28 November 2009 (EST)
- Uh, isn't "You vs. Boo" simply the title of the game mode? If so, it shouldn't be changed. Time Questions 08:30, 28 November 2009 (EST)
- If that's true, change it back. Redstar 08:31, 28 November 2009 (EST)
N64 affiliation[edit]
Can someone please tell me the affiliation there is with this game and the N64? SMB Deluxe is on gameboy color, but there is several references to the N64, like the unlockable artwork. And even the official Prima game guide also has an N64 symbol on it, rather than Gameboy Color symbol (see this image) Does anyone know why this is? Is it just because the N64 was around at the same time when this game was released?

- In regards to the Prima guide image, that's probably an error. Overall, mention of the N64 should be placed in the trivia section, but the N64 symbol on the strategy guide should be noted as an error rather than a reference. BNK [E|T|C] 10:46, 10 December 2012 (EST)
Okay, it just seemed out of place to me. I will mention it on the article, thanks for the reply.

Glitch[edit]
To do this glitch, you shoot a fireball, during the animation you pause, and this happens on the file select.
EDIT:This also happens. --Mariofan5000 (talk) 16:25, 18 July 2013 (EDT)
Should this be added to the article?[edit]
Japan and UK 3DS owners that make an NNID will supposedly get a download code for this game next year. It's a limited time offer. I don't remember the dates off the top of my head but I was wondering if this information should be added. Agentdave7 (talk) 18:45, 20 December 2013 (EST)
You VS. Boo[edit]
I think You VS. Boo should have a separate page that goes into more depth what the mode is about. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 17:41, 8 January 2016 (EST)
- I agree with this idea seeing that the hypothetical page could also describe the differences between the courses in the mode than how they appear in the main game.--Mysterii (talk) 11:22, 30 November 2016 (EST)
- I agree with the general idea of splitting this, although I would like to add that the new page should be a subpage of the existing page. The mode definitely deserves its own page (and I for one, having fond memories of playing this mode growing up, would love to see it documented better), but it's still part of SMBD.--Macks2008 (talk) 14:19, 27 October 2018 (EDT)
- there could still be a redirect on You VS. Boo so people searching for the page can find it; I just want the gamemode's page to be a subpage of the game in which it's found--Macks2008 (talk) 08:29, 28 October 2018 (EDT)
The mode has 8 courses split evenly into 2 worlds. We can make You vs. Boo its own article to show off those courses. And make articles for them! --Technology Toad (talk) 00:28, 7 April 2017 (EDT)
is this game remake or an enhanced port[edit]
I suspect this game is really more of an enhanced port instead of a remake. new changes and additions are not enough for it to be a remake. it has to be coded from scratch.

- There are other differences. Luigi's palette is different, the "grey" Cheep-Cheeps underwater use the intended green (as in the original, graphics using the "green" palette underwater become grey, just as they become orange and turquoise underground), the ratchet scrolling is removed, and unless I'm mistaken, Piranha Plants have a visual glitch where their whole bodies can be seen at all times when emerging from pipes. Not to mention the huge main menu thing with collectible cards, record-keeping, a race-themed mode, levels from Japanese SMB2.... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:21, 11 January 2018 (EST)
- So remake I suppose? Seems different enough to me, although I must confess I never played the original. Although I did end up with a Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt cartridge from someone for reasons I can't remember, I didn't have a system that could run it until quite some time after getting the cartridge.--Macks2008 (talk) 08:13, 28 October 2018 (EDT)
Regional Differences[edit]
Two notes. I have a source for the new criteria to unlock album pages 4 and 5 here. It's a blog from a Japanese player. Secondly, there seems to be a misconception on the Challenge mode score bar minimum requirement. It's definitely not 896,000. I had just exceeded 1,160,00 when I filled the bar so it would seem that hasn't changed across regions. Figured I say so here in case folks are concerned when I make the edit.--CB Johnny (talk) 14:08, December 16, 2022 (EST)

What about the unused levels & level select? Those are in the game. SONIC123CDMANIA+&K(B&ATSA) (talk) 19:29, January 08, 2023 (CST)
