Team Rally
Vs. Tours are Team Rally events in Mario Kart Tour characterized by the addition of a dynamic that separates all characters available at the time into two different teams represented by the Team Captains. It's required from the player to choose a team on the first log-in during the tour, receiving a copy of the selected team's captain. Once chosen the player is unable to change teams for the duration of the tour. During races, the player is required to collect as many as possible in order for their selected team to win. Event tokens are redesigned to match the team, with the captain's emblem on a white background replacing the Super Star design and the border using a color corresponding to the captain (which is also used in the main tour image). Team tokens only appear in races if the player is using a driver from their team. Though there is no limit to how many team tokens a player can collect in a Team Rally, the token display counter can only show a maximum of five digits, so if the player has 100,000 or more tokens, the display will still read 99,999.[citation needed] The team with the most team tokens collected won 15 rubies, 3,000 coins and a gold badge, while the losing team earned 10 rubies, 1,500 coins and a silver badge.

Trivia
As some team leaders share the same emblem color, it is highly unlikely for characters with the same emblem color to compete against each other (e.g. Mario vs. Donkey Kong or Luigi vs. Bowser), as it would prevent some aspects from functioning accurately, such as the Team Rally token meter and the opponent leaderboard colors.
