Apologies for my unfamiliarity with Mario Kart Tour, but are any of its courses actually unlockable? I'm considering a proposal to have cups and courses treated as gameplay progression rather than unlockable content; if I go through with making it and it passes, this category may need to be deleted for containing an insufficient number of articles. "Unlockable [thing]" categories are generally a poorly thought out concept because, as it stands, they are way too broad, accounting for multiple games at once. A recurring subject that may not share the same characteristic between two games, such as unlockability, cannot be indiscriminately categorised as such. Not even a typically default character, like Mario, has been exempt from this. Case in point, this page has gotten to the point where it basically covers every single course in the Mario Kart series except for the ones that have always been available from the start so far. (SNES Mario Circuit 1, Wii Moo Moo Meadows, and anything else that has only ever appeared in Mushroom and Shell Cups.) I'd probably be in favor of deleting this category as well, it is a bit excessive and can even be a bit misleading if a course is not unlockable in its game of origin but is unlockable when its a retro course (maybe vice versa too). Nightwicked Bowser 17:19, December 8, 2022 (EST)

Agreed that the unlockable categories are pretty useless since they try to have the entire franchise as their scope. I'd be in favor of doing away with them entirely. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 17:28, December 8, 2022 (EST)
