RE:Sticker Star NPCs
I'll see which ones are worthy of their own articles. (T|C) 11:02, September 19, 2020 (EDT)
- I'll likely start with Crybaby Toad, Sticker Museum curator, and Surfshine Harbor captain. In the meantime, here are a few suggestions for Dream Team characters:
- A Toad who is attacked by Thorbs, briefs Mario and Luigi on Attack Pieces and even gives them both two Attack Pieces for Mushrise Park. He is later found inside a hotel in Wakeport (I forget which room).
- A Toad who's obsessed with the scenic view of Pi'illo Castle from Mushrise Park, even awarding the bros a 1-Up Mushroom for destroying the rocks blocking the path to the scenic point.
- A Hooski suitor who gives the bros an Attack Piece, along with a Plush Zeekeeper in the hopes that they can trade it out for a keepsake more befitting of a romantic relationship. They eventually give him the Pi'illo Ring, and he thanks them by giving them two consumable items and two clothing items. I was considering also suggesting the characters that are involved in said item-trading sidequest, but they're given incredibly minor roles, and I would rather wait until I can get my hands on the game's Prima guide to see for myself.
- Any of the dream world versions of Broque Monsieur, Brickle, Britta, Lil' Massif, Broque Madame, Pi'illoper, and Bedsmith. Especially so for Brickle (Dream World), since he actually provides a modest role in the game's story, unlike the other five I mentioned.
- Pi'illoper's housekeeper/servant, since he/she wears different attire from usual Shelltops.
Just some suggestions thrown out. (T|C) 11:24, September 19, 2020 (EDT)
- By the way, what color is the swindler Toad? Just asking so that I can add in the correct image. (T|C) 20:00, September 21, 2020 (EDT)
RE:Update
The reason I omitted the referee in Dreamy Wakeport is because he's actually Big Massif in disguise. That said, good work. (T|C) 14:35, September 22, 2020 (EDT)
Re: So, Um
I haven’t played 3D All Stars, but from what I’ve heard, it’s just direct ports. I think if there were any brand new content, it would already be revealed by now. --Scrooge200 (talk) 21:24, September 26, 2020 (EDT)
- Sounds good. I want to work on a few SS/CS attack pages. While I played Paper Jam on my 3DS, I took a lot of screenshots (multiple for almost every important moment), so I'll work on transferring those over to my PC and uploading them. I plan to do the same with Dream Team next. Scrooge200 (talk) 21:44, September 26, 2020 (EDT)
Remember to put the article that you created, like (i.e. ? Card Toad) in a nav template (i.e. {{Toads}}, {{M&LPJ}}). Thanks for reading, and keep contributing! --DarkNight 17:41, October 2, 2020 (EDT)
- Those were examples. Please do the same to all articles that you created recently, I would do it myself, but nav templates aren't viewable in mobile and I have a proposal to implement. --DarkNight 19:08, October 2, 2020 (EDT)
Super Mario Sunshine missions
If you're wondering where to look for the names of Super Mario Sunshine missions in Delfino Plaza, they should each be found in one of four different official guides for the game. (T|C) 11:41, October 14, 2020 (EDT)
- You missed "The Gold Bird", which in its current form is just a redirect. (T|C) 18:38, October 14, 2020 (EDT)
Hmmmm
We don't use words like weirdly and suprisingly on here as it sounds informal. --DarkNight 13:29, October 14, 2020 (EDT)
Pianta suggestion
I know I'm not the one you're asking about this, but I'll say this anyway. One idea I have is the arguing Piantas seen around Delfino Plaza in white clothing and argue with each other throughout the game. Nightwicked Bowser
- I'd say all the truly relevant Piantas have articles. The ones mentioned above are recurring extras, but they don't have any more actual importance than the one stuck on the island to the poison river area. I suppose possibly some of the workers in Ricco Harbor may count, there's this one that wants to be good at throwing who in the first mission will barely throw you a meter and by the last mission has progressively gotten strong enough to toss you into the wall on the other side of the harbor. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:27, October 18, 2020 (EDT)
- That's a fair point, we shouldn't overdo it. Nightwicked Bowser

I just realized this, but can you link to your talk page in you signature please? --DarkNight 17:44, October 20, 2020 (EDT)
RE: SMS Minor Locations
There was actually a proposal to merge the similar Mario 64 sub-areas to their corresponding courses, so it'd be best to create another proposal that decides which areas get articles, maybe including both Sunshine and 64. Personally, looking at Casino Delfino and Sand Cabana, I don't see how this would be a bad idea. Mario JC 21:08, October 23, 2020 (EDT)
- MarioWiki:Proposals under "Changes", since it covers multiple subjects. Mario JC 21:11, October 23, 2020 (EDT)
Regarding the Bill Board split, while that may be a good reason to do it, something like this should at least be discussed first. There was a proposal to merge all of the boards, so a counterproposal is required. Mario JC 07:35, October 24, 2020 (EDT)
Re: Your Thoughts
I also own a copy of the Encyclopedia, so I can cross-reference it. I'd like to hear your ideas, but I warn you that I'm not very experienced with Sunshine or NSMBU. Scrooge200 (talk) 17:13, October 25, 2020 (EDT)
- I think the Isle Delfino Police and Raccoon splits might be redundant. If Dune Buddy and Mommy Noki are official names, then I'd suggest to give them pages. The ukulele Pianta, shell flautist, and Pinna Park worker seem a bit too minor. I see that the minor NPCs policy might get redone soon (according to Talk:Lava Piranha), so I'd hold off on articles for a bit until that's resolved. Scrooge200 (talk) 16:13, October 26, 2020 (EDT)
NPCs
I recommend giving this article a read: MarioWiki:Minor_NPCs. 13:47, October 26, 2020 (EDT)
- My point was more like Bickering Piantas and Stranded Pianta are not important enough and do not have proper names to have their own articles. Unless there was a discussion I'm missing, these will likely end up being deleted because they don't meet our criteria. 14:19, October 26, 2020 (EDT)
The bickering Piantas are a pair of Piantas in Super Mario Sunshine. They are recurring characters usually found throughout Delfino Plaza, their positions dependent on the player’s current point in the game. Wherever they may be found, they are always seen flailing their arms at each other as though in a dispute. When spoken to, it is revealed their conversation is usually trivial, over minor discrepancies such as appearance.
Toward the end of the game, these Piantas can be found between the fruit bazaars and beach on the east side of the plaza, arguing over whose sprout is better. One argues that his is taller, while the other argues his is more stylish. Their behavior seems to settle after the flood, after which they become more focused on ending their vacation and returning to their regular lifestyles.
The stranded Pianta is a minor character in Super Mario Sunshine He is a male Pianta who can be found stranded on the island east of Delfino Plaza, where the Warp Pipe leading to the Lily Pad Ride minigame can also be found. If spoken to, he claims he has been stranded for three years and is unable to return to shore due to not being able to swim. After the boats have started circling the plaza once more, it seems he is finally able to get off the island, and can be found behind the lighthouse on the shore. If spoken to here, however, he seems to miss being on the island and considers trying to return to it.
Another Pianta, a female, orange Pianta with a red hat and brown dress, can be found on another island west of the plaza. She is stranded with nothing more than a coconut tree and a basket. Mario may travel to the island and speak with her to receive a request of three coconuts. Mario may spray them down from the tree and simply place them into the basket afterward. Speaking to her after completing this request awards Mario a Blue Coin. If spoken to yet again, she tells Mario she may have another request for him much later on - Mario may return here after completing a level to complete the same mission again, this time receiving a 1-Up Mushroom as a reward.
Here's the texts you used if you want to reuse it. Can probably be condensed and I wouldn't give them names, but giving you the work you had to start with. :) 21:50, October 27, 2020 (EDT)
PMTOK quotes
Since you're working on quotes for Paper Mario: The Origami King, would you like me to give you the game's text files? It's faster than transcribing them by hand and ensures you don't miss anything. You'll just have to get Kuriimu on GitHub to be able to read them easily. Scrooge200 (talk) 12:38, November 11, 2020 (EST)
- I've been able to rip the text for the 3DS Mario & Luigi games, but I haven't found a program that can open them. The Mario platformers usually don't have much dialogue, and I haven't looked in-depth for games like Sunshine. I've compiled the Origami King text files here, make sure to tell me once you've downloaded them so I can delete them. Scrooge200 (talk) 17:03, November 11, 2020 (EST)
Do you know?
Some of the levels' pages have coin counts. Wynn Liaw 22:44, December 9, 2020 (EST)
Through the Looking Glass
Since you created this article, where did you get that name? It's certainly not in the game itself. 17:43, January 23, 2021 (EST)
