The mini-game, Picture Perfect from Mario Party 8.

Picture Perfect is a 1 vs. 3 mini-game in Mario Party 8.

Introduction

Two Shy Guys are operating projectors on each side on the balcony. The four players will all be holding gun-triggered remotes, pointing them at the projections in the sky. The solo player has the left projection, sliced in fours. The right projection is cut into nine squares and is for the trio.

Controls

Both the solo player and the trio holds the Wii controller vertically. They must move the controller to aim, and press the A or B button to freeze or defreeze.

Gameplay

A mini projection of a mushroom, flower, cloud, fish, flying shell, or egg will appear in the center of the two larger projections. The players must freeze the shift shaping squares in their projection to match the picture. If a player accidentally freezes a wrong square, they can press the A or B button to defreeze it. The first side to match three pictures wins.

Ending

The three projections will disappear, leaving a large projection in the center with the winning side. The winner(s) preforms the winning stance, and the loser(s) will be left disappointed.

Trivia

Ironically, although this mini-game's name is a common phrase, there are two past Mario Party mini-games whose names are a pun on this phrase: Mario Party 3's Picture Imperfect and Mario Party 6's Pixel Perfect.
