Operation: Toadal Eclipse is a course which appears in the Story Mode of Super Mario Maker 2. It is a job given to Mario by the Taskmaster after all of the crew is kidnapped. This course is set in the castle theme in the New Super Mario Bros. U style. It has a difficulty rating of 3/4 stars. The clear condition for this course is to reach the goal with all five Toads following Mario. Once the course is completed, the crew returns to the castle, and construction can begin again.

Layout

The course starts off with a single door which takes Mario to an area where all five Toads are. He must first rescue the Toad in the bottom right trail. Here, he must simply jump over some Lava Bubbles and hop up to the Yellow Toad, then hit the ON/OFF Switch and activate the Bob-omb inside the ? Block to rescue him. He can then rescue the next three Toads in any order.

Blue Toad is found in the top right path. Mario must get up to him using Lifts and dodge a set of Fire Bars to rescue him. Purple Toad is found in the bottom left trail. Mario must dodge two Skewers to rescue him. Green Toad is found in the top left path. Here, Mario must avoid various sets of Fire Bars and can grab a 10-Coin before rescuing the Toad. Finally, Red Toad is found to the right, outside the area. There is a ? Block with a Super Mushroom inside, then a few Fire Bars, then some more Lava Bubbles and Lifts, with a 30-Coin down below. There is then one more ? Block and a path downward surrounded by Fire Bars. Finally, there is one Big Magikoopa along with another 30-Coin, right before the Axe.
