Old Music for the New Remake?[edit]

Are we 100% sure that is the original version used in Tour, and not a slightly updated version like for SNES Choco Island 2 and SNES Vanilla Lake 1? I unfortunately recognized that the song wasn't the Mario Kart 8 version (used for SNES Donut Plains 3), but I don't know whether or not it uses the Mario Kart DS version or an otherwise new update. <sighs> I listened to it last night, and unfortunately it seems true. Also, apparently SNES Vanilla Lake 1 isn't sightly updated either, even though it sounded like it to me at first. What a shame. ((Little Garfield) (talk) All four original Yoshi colors 3/26/2020 ~ 9:40 (EST)

Article name[edit]

The reason that this article has the "SNES" designation, referring to SMK, an SNES game, is to distinguish it from the article for the first level in Donut Plains in SMW. However, SMW is also an SNES game, so the SNES designation isn't really clear to people who aren't aware of how retro Mario Kart tracks are designated by their console of origin, not the respective Mario Kart game for that console. So this article should be renamed to "Donut Plains 1 (Mario Kart)", and the same goes for Donut Plains 2 and 3.

Per Naming - "For Mario Kart courses, console abbreviations are used as the identifier whenever possible to match the retro course naming convention (e.g. Daisy Cruiser (GCN))." LinkTheLefty (talk) 18:35, July 23, 2020 (EDT)
