A Bone Dragon.

Bone Dragons are large dinosaur skeletons that Yoshies encounter underground in the game Yoshi's Story. Bone Dragons spit fire and can sometimes be found in groups of three. The weak spot of a Bone Dragon is found on their head, meaning a Yoshi will want to Jump on top of them and Ground Pound to defeat them. Another way to defeat a Bone Dragon is to hit them multiple times with eggs.

An underground cavern on Yoshi's Island, called the Bone Dragon Pit is also explored in Yoshi's Story; as it's name would imply, the Bone Dragon Pit is infested with Bone Dragons. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has a sticker of a Bone Dragon that raises attack by thirteen. It can only be used by Yoshi, Wario and Pokemon Trainer.

Trivia

  • Bone Dragons resemble skeletons of the monster from Greek mythology known as the Lernaean Hydra, a serpentine/draconic monster with multiple heads.
  • In the beta version of Yoshi's Story, Bone Dragons weren't skeletal at all and were purple and orange colored, multi-headed and were less sinister looking.
  • A skeletal dragon resembling a Bone Dragon makes a small appearance in Mario Party 6 in Snowflake Lake, where it is frozen in a lake.
