Like Rainbow Road, every Mario Kart game has a Bowser Castle course. These courses vary from game to game, but usually include lava hazards, Thwomps, and tight turns.

In Mario Kart 64, the course has lot of Thwomps as they have the job to block the drivers in their way. It also has Bowser statues that shoot fire. Near the end of the course, the player goes to the roof of the castle.

In Mario Kart: Double Dash!! this course has a lot of fire, some Thwomps and it even has pictures of Bowser Jr. in one room. The entrance to the castle is a bridge, and the entrance also Bowser's face. The course in this game is named Bowser's Castle.

In the Mario Kart DS course there's a spinning log that if you fall off of, you will not fall in the lava but rather land in a garden and lose some time. There are also Thwomps and fire as always. Also, in the spinning circle, if you not rather go to the first passage, go all the way round and go through the red carpet with a moving Thwomp on it.
