Spinthra

Spinthras are large tarantula-like creatures who inhabit Land's End in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Spinthras are one of the more powerful creatures who inhabit Land's End, they are also one of the most ferocious creatures often attacking mercilessly and potentialy poisoning or (oddly) turning foes into Scarecrows. Luckily Spinthras do not seem to be very social with their own kind as they never appear with other Spinthras, but oddly will often times be assisted by Geckits in battle.

Spinthras resemble an earlier enemy named Arachne, and are probably related to them.
