Avalanche! (Mario Party 4)

Introduction

The characters ski towards the camera while being chased by the avalache. The camera changes its angle, and the minigame begins.

Gameplay

As the name implies, the game has characters skiing downhill away from an avalanche. The avalanche will constantly roll behind them, engulfing anyone too slow. Ramps cause characters to jump and speed up, while rocks trip characters and cover them in snow, which they must break out of before the avalanche buries them. To win, players must escape the avalanche and be the first one to jump off the cliff at the finish line.

Ending

The winner skis to an area in front of the camera and strikes a pose. The losers (inside snowballs) fall from the cliff behind the winner. If there is a draw, however, all the players fall from the cliff inside snowballs.

• Game Rules – "Don't get swallowed by the avalanche behind you! Ski down the mountain and avoid the obstacles too!"
• Advice – "If you don't use your poles, you'll slow down. Watch out for the walls and boulders as you speed down the hill."
