Mini-game
Please stop changing the article title to "mini-game". The display title should reflect the actual spelling of the article title; if you think it should be renamed to reflect the in-game format, discuss it first. Changing the article content text to reflect it is fine, but make sure you don't create a redirect link and pipe the link instead while linking to the article's actual name (i.e. mini-game
and not mini-game
).
Also, I understand MP5 has a dream theme but can you point out where you're getting these names like "Velocity" and "Baseball"? Mario JC 20:57, January 27, 2021 (EST)

- It's still nonetheless important that you follow our policies and guidelines, as almost all of them are there for a reason. While "mini-game" is indeed an alternative spelling to "minigame", the former is rarely ever used in games, hence why we go with the latter. (T|C) 21:04, January 29, 2021 (EST)
Okay I won't mess with the word "mini-game" again. Promise

Do you think you have an idea for Introduction and Ending on Tube It or Lose It?

Do you think you have an idea for Introduction and Ending on the minigame Tube It or Lose It? The minigame does takes place on a snowy mountain I figured.

Do you have any ideas for an Intro and Ending for Mathletes? It takes place in a Coin Show!

Panic Pinball takes place in a big pinball machine and it's setting is Super Mario Bros. theme.
The Bill Blasters mini-game takes place in a castle.

Redirect links
Avoid redirect links (not linking to the article's actual name) like Super Stars
for Super Star. When pluralising, just place the "s" after the brackets (Super Stars
) or pipe it if the spelling is different (e.g. Spinies
).
Also, please keep in mind that when naming game titles, they need to be italicised (so Mario Party 5 should be formatted as Mario Party 5). Refer to MarioWiki:Manual of Style#Italicizing titles. Mario JC 19:51, March 12, 2021 (EST)
I've brought 4 new images for Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
But, how do bring in the files?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jsylvan (talk).
- Go to Special:Upload or click on the "Upload file" link under "tools" on the navigation bar. Make sure you fill in the summary properly, add a license, and replace "uncategorized" with an image category link (

in this case). You may also want to check the game's gallery and category pages to see if similar images don't already exist first.
- Also, please remember to sign your comments with ~~~~ even on your own talk page. Mario JC 22:34, March 31, 2021 (EDT)
As I explained above, make sure you fill in the "aboutfile" in the summary. uncategorized should also be removed after adding the category link. (See my edit here.)
If you're not sure how to add an image to an article, Help:Image and Help:Gallery explains this. Mario JC 08:49, April 1, 2021 (EDT)
Hello, Jsylvan. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, Jsylvan. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Please read through these messages. Make sure to remove any parameters (like "4=Describe edits, if any") if you're not using them. See here to understand how it's done. Mario JC 20:54, April 1, 2021 (EDT)
Yes, well I have checked but I'm having a hard time getting it to the category. So I was wandering if I bring in the new images that's from the game then some one else can see and figure it out and I'll report it to them to check out as I make the file name of them.

- Filling out the file details is the uploader's responsibility, not others. It's not too hard, you just need to copy how I've done it here as I've linked to you above (replace "Subject of the image" with a description, remove any unused lines, and replace uncategorized with the category link). You added the category link correctly with File:FlowerCupLogo-MKDD.jpg; you just forgot to remove uncategorized. Mario JC 21:09, April 1, 2021 (EDT)
Tell me how to make pages for a new file.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jsylvan (talk).
- The file page is automatically created when you upload; you just need to fill out the details. The Help pages I linked you above then tell you how to add them to an article. And please remember to sign your comments. Mario JC 22:23, April 1, 2021 (EDT)
If you're not using aboutfile, just remove the entire template. Mario JC 23:11, April 17, 2021 (EDT)
Summaries
Please read MarioWiki:Good writing#Summaries that aren't. It's unnecessary to cram every single detail into the history section when we only need the information most relevant to the plot.
Additionally, don't begin sentences with conjunctions like "but" and "then". Either use a comma, or use a period but omit the conjunction. Mario JC 03:36, April 7, 2021 (EDT)
But that was all true in the story and I did have to double check anything to add more to history and that'll make sense to any reader. After all conjunctions in a few sentences in a paragraph.

Reminder
Please stop not signing your comments on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. Could somebody add "Areas" to the "Rogueport Sewers" article?
I have ideas for that.

I read level 1 offenses, i'll try not to make mistakes.
