Template:Minigame-infobox Cut from the Team is a luck-based Battle minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is an expression used when someone is removed from a team, e.g., in sports.
Introduction
The four players are shown on a mountain with a small stand and ten wires connected to it.
Gameplay
Players take turns walking onto the stand and cut one of the ten wires, of which three are "live." A player who cuts a dead wire is safe and moves to the back of the line. Cutting a "live" wire will trigger a spring that launches whoever cuts it off the platform. The last player remaining wins.
