Main Street Entrance

Template:Location-infobox Main Street Entrance is a location in the Metro Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. Excluding the secluded structure the Odyssey lands on when upon arrival, this serves as the start of the kingdom. Normally, it is accessed via the spark pylon attached to these platforms, returning in the same way. Here, Mario may find a Checkpoint Flag, Binoculars, and perhaps a few New Donkers who welcome him to the city. Mario may continue forward into the streets or visit the park nearby, where the jump rope challenge is held and Talkatoo is found.

Due to the much different setup of the Metro Kingdom during its attack, Main Street is reached via a spark pylon in a slightly different location, taking him southeast of the park, where the Checkpoint Flag in place of the regular one is found, referring to this location as the City Outskirts. This flag disappears permanently once Mechawiggler has been defeated.

The music that regularly plays throughout the city plays as soon as Mario touches the ground here. As such, it is possible, at least briefly, to advance through the city without the music playing so long as Mario stays off the ground.
