"By my grandfather's marmalade!"

That is a normal English phrase? I searched it with Google, but all of the very few results are related to the Mario series. --Grandy02 10:32, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

I think Nintendo just made that up as a "joke" towards Englishmen. My dad's boss was English, and I remember him using all sorts of British phrases – but never that one. — Stooben Rooben Cheery-o! 10:38, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
Hm, but the article sounds like it would be a real one. --Grandy02 10:41, 4 October 2008 (EDT)
It's possible that it's a real phrase; hence why I said "I think". You might be able to find that phrase, or something very similar to it, by Googling "List of English phrases", or something along those lines. — Stooben Rooben 10:56, 4 October 2008 (EDT)

Am I the only one who remembers toadsworth debuted in Peach's bedroom in Super Mario RPG? I am british and I have never heard that phrase. Elliotcroft

Peaches Father

If it says so on Nintendo.com (Which it does) its true. Toadsworth is peaches Father. Im adding that to the Article

But more sources (including the games themselves, which take precedence over websites) indicate he's not her father. The current Relationship section handles the whole thing well, so we'd best leave it the way it is. - Walkazo 18:15, 26 September 2009 (EDT)

Toadsworth's cane seems to have quite high value, as when he was on the verge of death in partners in time Toad seemed to want it.RPG Gamer. I HAVE RPG!! (talk) 16:57, 28 March 2013 (EDT)

Toad's Grand father

I've been wondering is Toadsworth in any way related to Toad ? I think he might be his grand father. I don't think in any way is he Peaches father. Her father is someone else. I can't quite remember who or what his name was. But I think he is related to Toad mainly because he looks like and older version of Toad with brown spots on his head.

That Citation

Regarding the citation for the Shroom notice, I just viewed the official website for the game (It is combined with the others in the 3D All-Stars pack) - I found no mention of Toadsworth being Princess Peach's father. In fact, there's really hardly any information on any characters or aspects of the game, so I'm wondering how this information was actually found. I will browse again later today just in case, and I recommend someone else do the same. Lady Bow from Paper Mario. Green Star Lady Bow from Paper Mario. 16:02, January 3, 2021 (EST)

I've been searching for clues that may lead to this citation being found. It was added by an anonymous user back in February 24, 2006, so any information concerning Super Mario Sunshine should have been set in stone by that time. Interestingly, the game's artwork gallery identifies Toadsworth as Peach's servant. I suspect that this information could be found on the official website from back then, but I can't access it because it needs Flash. Although the addition just says "Nintendo.com", so the true source may be found elsewhere in the sea of archived pages. RHG1951 (talk) 18:16, March 18, 2021 (EDT)
