Writing

We don't use the word "You" when describing the player. We either use "The Player" or the playable character's name for these sorts of things. I feel like you may need to read through MarioWiki:Manual of Style as well. Nightwicked Bowser

Image category

Hello! Just so you know, when uploading images, the category placed on the file should be the image category for the game that the file refers to, rather than the main category for the game. Please make sure any names you red-link are accurate, in case someone accidentally creates the page with the wrong name, like the gem names. "Square-shaped gem" is incorrect; its name is "Square Jewel". Mario JC 00:40, July 23, 2020 (EDT)

A few more things:

• Make sure you're linking to Toad (species) when referring to the hidden Toads, otherwise you're linking to the character Toad. You can create a piped link like this: [[Toad (species)|Toad]]
• Avoid duplicate back-to-back links.

SMM2 icons

Hello, I saw on Discord you mentioned you used jpgs for the icons. Please avoid converting from jpgs to pngs, especially not to apply transparency to them, as this goes against MarioWiki:Image use policy; they should be uploaded in the original format you screenshot them. Avoid enlarging them further than their original resolution as well, as all it does is make it blurrier. Mario JC 22:15, November 18, 2020 (EST)

I checked and the images I am using are in fact pngs. I didn't mean to have File:Newsoupicicle.png be a transparent image, it was just a one-off. Sorry if I did anything wrong, its really a lot and I am trying my hardest to listen! User:DaBluePipe 12:16, November 19, 2020 (EST)
