The Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary is a celebration through September 2020 to March 2021 of thirty five years since the start of the mainline Super Mario series with the release of Super Mario Bros. in 1985. The celebration was originally announced on September 3, 2020 with the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct[1], and is being commemorated with in-game events, tie-ins, merchandise, My Nintendo rewards, and the announcement of several new Mario series titles. The official celebration is expected to conclude by April 1, 2021.
