Sand Bird

Sand Bird is a bird Mario help hatches in Super Mario Sunshine by getting rid of Cataquack on Gelato Beach. After hatching it he gains access to a mini-stage where Mario rides the Sand Bird to collect 8 Red Coins. The bird itself seems to have been made of sand and it has no eyes. Not much else is known about this creature.

- The Sand Bird also appeared in New Super Mario Bros.
