Moving Files
Hello, when moving files, please remember to change all links that lead to the file, as failing to do so can create broken file links on pages. You can check what links to a file by going back to the original file name and checking "What links here". Also, when moving files, a redirect is created, which needs to be marked for deletion as it makes it easier for administrators to find and delete it. And I've just added the archive thing up above, as you do ned to link to your talk page archives on the main talk page, but feel free to reformat it a bit. BBQ Turtle (talk) 04:55, June 8, 2020 (EDT)
Okay, I was in the process of doing so but then I needed to go on an extended bathroom break after a large lunch. Will try to do so next time sooner. Thanks! Octoling Rendezvous 04:57, June 8, 2020 (EDT)
- OK, that's fine I just wasn't sure as you'd been offline for a while. If you're doing something like that, it's usually best to try and do everything related to the last file you moved before heading off. BBQ Turtle (talk) 04:59, June 8, 2020 (EDT)

This also somewhat applies to article names. After moving an article, the old name links (found here) should be changed to the new name. Unlike files, they don't have to be taken care of immediately, but they should eventually. Some articles have a few links, others have many (in which case, usually it's because a navigation template being used on many pages is linking to the old name; changing the link on the template should clear out a lot of the list). Something to keep in mind. Mario JC 07:09, June 8, 2020 (EDT)
