Flurries appesred in the icy regions of World 4 in Super Mario Bros. 2's Sub-Con. These slippery enemies would run along the ice after Mario, but they had low traction on the ice and could easily slip off an edge to its doom. Madame Flurrie's name may have come from this classic enemy.
