Purple Coins are Coins that appear in Super Mario Galaxy. They will appear when a Purple Comet is in orbit of a Galaxy. The Player will need to collect 100 of them, to get a star. Purple Coin Missions will often be Time Limited. There are two Purple Coin missions that are not activated by a Purple Comet. One in Gateway Galaxy and another in Grand Finale Galaxy.
