Stage 4-8

Not to be confused with World 4-8.

Template:Levelbox Stage 4-8 is the eighth level of Jungle in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong. The level introduces Poison Mushrooms.

Layout

Mario starts off on a platform next to some spikes. Donkey Kong throws Poison Mushrooms, which Mario must avoid. The platform on the left leads to a set of beanstalks, with a moving platform that leads to another beanstalk and the next section. This section contains some fruit and a Snapjaw, with a platform near where Pauline is standing; reaching her will clear the level, with Donkey Kong taking her to the next world.

Cutscene after level completion

Mario comes in with a hammer, but Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. are on higher ground and he is unable to reach them. Mario throws his hammer upwards, climbs the Ladder, and reobtains it, while Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong run away as he gives chase.
