Italics
Hello! When writing game titles, they should be italicized, which is achieved by placing two apostrophes on either side of the title. For example ''[[Mario Party 8]]''
creates Mario Party 8. Thanks! --TheFlameChomp (talk) 10:49, 5 October 2018 (EDT)
Please stop forgetting italics on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
There were multiple instances where you forgot since your last reminder. Please remember this as it's an important wiki editing guideline. Mario JC 09:19, 15 October 2018 (EDT)
Also, please write the full names, never abbreviations. Mario JC 05:49, 8 December 2018 (EST)
Writing
Hey, please avoid this style of informal, unencyclopedic style of writing on the wiki. When you write, it must be kept formal and informative (basically, you don't want to sound like you're casually talking to the reader, e.g. "Nintendo knows you're sneaky [...]"). Please also remember that we don't write in first- or second-person, so avoid using the word "you", and use "the player" or the character's name where necessary, or any other substitute that's suitable within the context. See MarioWiki:Good writing for more information on the style of writing we expect when editing on articles. Mario JC 22:43, 19 November 2018 (EST)
This includes colloquialisms, like "kind of", as well. Mario JC 19:00, 5 December 2018 (EST)
Rewrite template
Hello, regarding your recent edit, the correct template for your edit would be the {{rewrite-expand}} template. The information about how to add and use this template is listed here. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk) 10:42, 23 December 2018 (EST)
"You"
Hi, just letting you know that in article prose, no "you"s are allowed; just use "the player" or the character's name, or in this case, substitute "that you cannot play" with "that cannot be played". Thanks! (T|C) 23:57, 2 March 2019 (EST)
Editing reminders
Reminders/warnings are serious matters and not meant to be messed around with, so please stop doing that. Mario JC 21:47, March 27, 2019 (EDT)
- This also means using them on your sandbox or userpage, or creating custom/fake warnings. Please read the rules on MarioWiki:Userspace.

Grabyla is back
Did you create an account named Grabyla is back (talk)? Creating multiple accounts is not allowed, so if it belongs to you, since you still have access to this account (Bowser201), the new one will be blocked from access. Mario JC 03:30, March 31, 2019 (EDT)
Here's what my son said:
It was my friend. He came over for a playdate and I introduced him to this wiki. He looked at the block list and chose the username Grabyla is back, because the oldest known infinitely blocked user was Grablya (he misplaced the y and the l). He is one of my neighbors and we share IPs so Grabyla is back is not a sockpuppet of mine, in fact, he never edited it.Bowser201
It was not a sockpuppet. I just wondered how an admin would react to a user that was blocked 13 years ago and returned.

New stub articles
The page(s) you recently created (Playstation) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing! |
