Ba-Boom
Any relation between Ba-Boom and the other Kongs is unconfirmed, so adding information (especially with words like "maybe" and "likely") like this is speculation and should be avoided. You can the information back if you have a source to back up your claims. 22:05, 15 April 2018 (EDT)
Grammar
Are you perhaps using Google translate to make edits? Because the wording of your edits tends to look really weird. Anyways, if English is not a language you are good at, try getting better at it before making large edits, OK? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:52, 19 April 2018 (EDT)
Minor edits
For small coding fixes like this, please remember to mark them as minor by ticking the "This is a minor edit" checkbox above the "Save page" button. You also don't need to bold subsection headers, as they're already in bold. Mario JC 00:07, 19 May 2018 (EDT)
Please stop forgetting to mark small edits as minor on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Small edits like these should have the "This is a minor edit" checkbox ticked. There have been a number of times where you've forgotten, so please remember next time. A recommendation would be to check over your information with the "Show preview" button first before saving, rather than making multiple tweak edits afterwards. Mario JC 21:56, 3 June 2018 (EDT)
File:Kremling Krew emblem.png
Hi, can I ask where you got this from? The source you provided links to another file page to another wiki which you yourself uploaded. Mario JC 23:59, 11 June 2018 (EDT)
- That means it's fan-made and needs to be deleted, because that model is custom. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:57, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
- If you'd like, you can keep the image as a personal image by tagging it with
ChristopherPAraujo
; however, it must be used on your userpage or a signature if you wish to create one. Otherwise, it will be deleted, as fan-made content like this is not allowed on mainspace.Mario JC 21:10, 12 June 2018 (EDT)
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (adding custom/modified images to mainspace) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Do not add fan-created or modified images, yours or anyone else's, to mainspace, as you've already been reminded. The DK logo has already been deleted once before for this reason, so that doesn't mean it should be uploaded again. Please only upload official images. Mario JC 22:50, 20 June 2018 (EDT)
- It was an image that you took from the model's texture, which had the letters spaced far apart, or cropped from an image of the model itself, and made modifications to. Even edits as small as merging them together are prohibited. If you're going to upload a DK logo, it must be an official, unmodified version.

RE: Giant Spider
Your reference was the Player's Guide, not the official Prima strategy guide you linked me. Although the Player's Guide does show what you're referring to on the same page number (see here), but as I said on the talk page, it's only a phrase, as in "to smite the spider" ("smite" meaning to strike down), not its name, like "Smite the Spider." Mario JC 00:25, 16 June 2018 (EDT)
Capitalisation
Please don't capitalise headings unless the word is a proper noun. Thanks. Mario JC 21:00, 23 June 2018 (EDT)
K Lumsy
Stop adding the "Last Warning" heading to the quotes page. What K Lumsy says isn't a warning, and directly follows up on his previous lines (after DK says "yes") and not a separate interaction.
It also helps to add an empty line before a heading for clarity. Mario JC 20:39, 7 July 2018 (EDT)
Re:References
In-game references typically aren't needed unless it's obscure; typically, things like guides, manuals, or other such things use references. LinkTheLefty (talk) 00:23, 29 July 2018 (EDT)
RE: Music
You're going to need to provide timestamps for the songs to prove your point. I know the songs; I'm just not hearing the similarities you mentioned. You say the stages' music "briefly riffs" Stickerbrush Symphony/Rockface Rumble and One-Winged Angel, respectively, but there are no similar notes between them.
For Skowl's theme in particular, its similarity to "One-Winged Angel" is merely a coincidence. Whether or not it's intentionally "riffing" that song is unconfirmed. Mario JC 00:24, 23 August 2018 (EDT)
Re: Speculation
Where did that bit about Cranky Kong's great-grandfather being the start of the family come from? Just because he's the earliest known doesn't mean he started it. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:40, 31 August 2018 (EDT)
DK64 quotes
While they're quotes from the game, you seem to be making a few spelling errors and confusing the periods with commas and vice versa (they appear slightly different in-game if you look more carefully). If you want, there's a text dump of the in-game text you can use as reference. Mario JC 22:50, 11 October 2018 (EDT)
RE: Brothers Bear
You tagged "Bears" with a reference, which means you're backing up this specific detail with evidence. It's very obvious they're bears, so we don't need a reference saying that they are. Not every piece of information needs a reference, just ones that are obscure, as LinkTheLefty explained to you above. Mario JC 19:44, 21 October 2018 (EDT)
Articles
You tend to leave out articles quite often when you write. Remember to include "a" and "the" when necessary in sentences. "The" is used when referring to a specific thing, "a" for a non-specific thing.
e.g.
and in minigame Krazy Kong Klamor when light is on.
and in the minigame Krazy Kong Klamor when the light is on.
or
and in a minigame called Krazy Kong Klamor when the light is on.

Quote2
Just FYI, if you have to link both the name and source here, you don't need to use quote2; just use quote (without the square brackets). Mario JC 02:53, 2 December 2018 (EST)
Categories
Hello, ChristopherPAraujo. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, images related to the game Super Mario World would use: or one it its subcategories. Media files would use: Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Please remember to add the appropriate image categories to your uploads rather than removing uncategorized altogether. Mario JC 18:59, 10 December 2018 (EST)
References
You're adding a lot of information that oftentimes isn't mentioned anywhere in or has nothing to do with your sources. Please only add it if the source explicitly says it (or at the very least the implication is clear). Don't look too deep into them or make assumptions, as this can be considered speculation. Mario JC 20:46, 6 January 2019 (EST)
RE: Crocodile Isle
Are you saying the SNES version starts from the left and the GBA version from the right? I've added the point that the maps are reversed in the main article, as the entire layout is mirrored. I'm able to help as best as I can, but please understand and be aware though that it's sometimes hard to interpret what you're trying to say, to the point where there's no choice but to remove the information outright.
(Just FYI too that it's spelled "trivia" and not "triva".) Mario JC 22:56, 11 January 2019 (EST)
- I've already incorporated it into the "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest / Donkey Kong Land 2" section, as I've told you.

Redirect links
Redirect links should be avoided. For the Animal Friends, please link to the full names (e.g. Rambi
instead of simply Rambi
). Mario JC 22:42, 30 January 2019 (EST)
RE: Permission
I don't see why not. Mario JC 06:34, 17 February 2019 (EST)
RE: Banana Balloons
I've already explained my reasoning in the deletion log. You used a .jpg from your source here and converted it to a .png, then applied edits to it, which goes against MarioWiki:Image use policy. If you wish to use the Banana Balloon artwork from that scan, it should be the original .jpg cropped square/rectangular with no modifications to the background. Mario JC 07:10, 23 February 2019 (EST)
