- Reggie Fils-Aimé (pictured), the president and Chief Operating Officer of Nintendo's North American branch, has announced his retirement for April 15th, 2019, with Doug Bowser replacing him as president.
- Super Mario Maker 2 was announced during the February 13, 2019 Nintendo Direct, alongside a new multiplayer mode and a DLC chapter for the Nintendo Switch version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
- Super Mario Bros. 2 was made available on Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online on February 13, 2019.
- Dr. Mario World was announced to release on mobile devices during early summer 2019.
