The Big Treasure of Space is a legendary treasure mentioned in Super Paper Mario. Mario and his team of heroes never confirmedly found this treasure (despite the fact that they seemingly succeeded in going through the process necessary to acquire it), and it may not even exist.

Blappy, elder of the Blobules, spent his youth searching for the Big Treasure of Space (while everyone else "hunted for snacks"). By the time the four heroes showed their faces on Planet Blobule, the elderly alien had retired from searching for the treasure, but he had still been able to find a clue vital to its acquisition in an obscure area identified only as "the space ruins." He was willing to sell this clue to Mario and put the search for the treasure to rest, but only so for the ludicrous price of ten thousand Coins. (This price, however, could be lowered to one hundred and, ultimately, ten Coins if his offer was declined certain amounts of time.) In the end, the four heroes bought the Ancient Clue, but ended up making its value condescend to the point of being used as toilet paper for Fleep.

Interestingly, the text of the Ancient Clue mentioned reversing outer space atop "rock man's noggin," referring to the fact that Mario and company would have to use Fleep's ability on a space rift above a rock formation resembling two faces as to earn a Door Key and move to the level's end. As such, it is possible that this key or an object in the area it unlocks may be the Big Treasure of Space; however, this is not defined. As mentioned above, the treasure may not even exist.
