The Starting Grid for the Maka Wuhu race in Mario Kart 7
The Starting Grid is an element that appears throughout the Mario Kart series. The grid can carry up to twelve characters with a marker for each character on the track. When Lakitu gives the signal to begin racing, the characters will leave the grid as they race for first place.
