Name[edit]
Couldn't we just call it a firefly, since "hotaru" is used in the Japanese guidebook as a generic noun rather than a proper name? Peppering your writing with Japanese is not kawaii, and it makes you sound like a baka. Raymond1922A (talk) 17:38, 4 March 2018 (EST)
- On Japanese: "If a subject must be called by its Japanese name per MarioWiki:Naming, it should be romanized in all uses on the Super Mario Wiki." LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:44, 4 March 2018 (EST)
- There's no need to throw out insults, even in a different language. 17:47, 4 March 2018 (EST)
- Sorry, that was a joke to show how ridiculous fangirl Japanese sounds. I didn't mean to insult anyone, and I understand that this isn't exactly the same scenario. Raymond1922A (talk) 00:00, 6 March 2018 (EST)
