Ameboid

Ameboid is an enemy that can be found in Smithy's Factory in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. He doesn't have high HP, but if Mario and party fail to destroy him in one attack, he will split into four parts. Then he is a bit of a nuisance.
Outside of battle, they are merely small blue spots who grow bigger and reveal themselves to be Ameboids when they are approached. Their relation to Smithy is unknown.
Trivia
- Ameboids highly resemble blue, jelly-like Goombas and may be the Factory answer to them.
- An actual Ameboid, for which Ameboids are named, is a type of protozoa.
