Talk:Tiny-Huge Island

From the Super Mario Wiki, the Mario encyclopedia

I think the tiny/huge world switches in this level is comparable to that one level in the Super Mario Bros. 3 giant world, where doors lead back and forth from the normal and huge monsters and blocks. Does anyone know what level specifically it is? I remember it is one of the later ones in world 4.

No clue. And, yes, there is a comparison, Tiny-Huge Island may be in Giant Land. Max2 (talk) strangely, there's no giants... Or ARE there...

curious

That little island thing that has a post and a sign that says something about bearing no responsibility for people getting dizzy and passing out well I ran around it and five coins came out. Is that really all that is for. It took me like 15 tries to land on that thing.

Pretty much - Booster

strange butterflies?

The tiny world has a spot where you step on it and it releases three butterflies. The spot is near the starting point (w/ the tiny goomba). I didn't know about this until a few days ago, but attacking one earns you a 1-up, while the others, if attacked, turn into floating black orbs that will EXPLODE ON IMPACT!!1! (I dunno if this is only on DS or what.) Neox 19:39, 16 March 2009 (EDT)

Its only on the DS as far as I know and it happens on every level in the game where there are butterflies.--Smileymiley5001 06:25, 23 February 2011 (EST)

Enemies

I always thought that the enemies were just regular enemies, only grown/shrunk. They're really a species? Hello, I'm Time Turner.

They are normal enemies in effect, but they're different.Sort of.--Smileymiley5001 06:27, 23 February 2011 (EST)

Five itty bitty secrets image

I don't think the image in Five Itty-bitty Secrets should be there. That mission is only in the original SM64, but the image is the one from SM64 DS. The mission didn't appear in the remake. Does anyone think the image should be removed? Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC

OK, it's changed. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC

Star 4

Sorry but let me get this straight - Star 4 appears exclusively in the Nintendo 64 version, and the other Star 4 appears exclusively in the Nintendo DS remake?--Launchballer 17:31, 16 April 2010 (EDT)

Yea.Its extremly confusing, but its true.I finished the DS remake twice over--Smileymiley5001 06:29, 23 February 2011 (EST)

Is there a screenshot of the Huge Island? I'm too lazy to upload a file of that. Artwork of Dry Bones from Mario Party 8.Happy Halloween! Bone Goomba.png

Unobtainable coin

Shouldn't we add info about that coin that is underground and cannot be obtained? That is, if it still can't be obtained. Espyo 14:52, 14 March 2011 (EDT)

What coin? DKPetey99DKPetey99TCE

If I'm not mistaken, on the huge island, next to the tunnel where the iron balls spawn, there is a set of coins. Directly under that set, under the ground, is a lone coin. Espyo 15:31, 14 March 2011 (EDT)
Ok, I was a bit wrong. Here is a video. Also, check out this. Espyo 15:50, 14 March 2011 (EDT)
I added the info myself. Espyo 17:09, 14 March 2011 (EDT)

[1] Huh... which glitch page? Besides, I wouldn't exactly call that unobtainable coin a glitch... Espyo 06:13, 15 March 2011 (EDT)

Blue Coins from Big Goombas?

Are you sure you can get Blue Coins from Grand Goombas? I was playing the VR version on the Wii and I was only getting Gold coins. Is there like another way of getting the Blue Coins from them or is it only for the N64 version? Fuzzy in New Super Mario Bros. UYoshiGo99Artwork of a Yoshi egg on a tilt. Log Island

There is a small island (Huge Island) with a log and a sign. On the "Trivia" it says that you need to ground pound it to obtain 5 coins. Also, that running around it won't make any coins appear. However, I tried to ground pound it, and I didn't get any coins. I was playing the USA version. I tried to run around it, but I didn't get coins. In GameFAQs.com there was an advice that I followed, and it turned out to be useful. Don't run around or ground pound the log. Get in the red coins' area and then get out (it doesn't matter if you collect the red coins or not). Then run around the log and it will produce 5 coins. I know that it doesn't make any sense, but that's the case.Gomess 512 (talk) 12:27, 14 December 2017 (EST)

As the one who added the trivia and also owns a USA cartridge, all I did was Ground Pound it and Coins appeared. Didn't enter the Red Coin area at all before hand, but I did run around the log a few times first. Running around the log shouldn't produce anything, as it appears to be coded to act conversely from the others. I don't know why it didn't work for you. Has anyone else here done something differently (@other wiki members)? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:31, 14 December 2017 (EST)
Okay, so I went back to it, and all I did was run around and it gave me Coins. Weird. Maybe it does something different depending on the star? (This was star 1) Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:30, 14 December 2017 (EST)

......................................................I have no words for this. Conversely, Ground Pounding did nothing. So, uh...... It just seems to be a standard log? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:41, 14 December 2017 (EST)
I thought all logs would give coins if you did either of those things (but not both at once). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:26, 14 December 2017 (EST)
