Froggy

Prince Froggy is the ruler of a a large swampy area on Yoshi's Island. He's the midpoint boss of World 3 in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and offers a truly unique challenge. When Yellow Yoshi engages the royal Frog Pirate in combat, Kamek swoops in and shrinks him, allowing Prince Froggy to swallow the poor Yoshi whole. The actual battle is between the Yellow Yoshi and Prince Froggy's uvula, and a whole lot of dripping stomach acid. Giant Shy Guys fall into the stomach, which can be turned into Eggs. In defeat, Prince Froggy poops Yoshi out back to normal size then lies down with some major intestinal pain.

He reappears in Tetris Attack as a partner to Clawdaddy. Strangely, he was a friend of Yoshi in this game. Here, he was known simply as "'froggy", as Tetris Attacks font has no capital F.

The name "Prince Froggy" is a reference to a fairy tale involving a princess kissing a frog and turning it into a prince. Some people point out that Prince Froggy bears a resemblance to Wart; such a theory is further supported by his royalty-suggesting name.
