Gold Ring (item)
- This article is about Toodles's Gold Ring in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. For the Red Ring-like object from New Super Mario Bros. 2, see Gold Ring. For the accessory from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, see List of clothing in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story § Gold Ring.
The Gold Ring is a ring that belongs to Toodles in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. While Mario and his team were riding the Excess Express to Poshley Heights in search of the Garnet Star, the ring was stolen by the Shadow Sirens. Beldam, Marilyn and Doopliss (disguised as Zip Toad during the trip) needed it to create an explosive form of Nitro Honey Syrup to bomb the train to prevent Team Mario from obtaining the Star; with this item being a source of gold, the other two items they needed were the Nitro Honey Syrup plans from the Businessman's briefcase and a source of seashell calcium (the Toad waitress' Shell Earrings they used). The evil trio's plan failed and Mario and friends returned all three stolen items to their rightful owners. After her ring is returned, Toodles rewards Mario with 30 Coins.
