Pigs are animals in the Real-World. they also appear in the marioverse, in multiple games. They first appeared in Super Mario Land 2, as bosses. The Three Little Pigheads where three pigs that poked fun at the story of the 3 little pigs. They then appeared in Paper Mario as the name of Li'l Oinks. these pigs are used to get certain items. They then appeared in Super Mario Sunshine as Poinks. these could be used to spray water further. They then appeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Doopliss turned the citezens of Twighlight Town into Pigs with the ring of a bell. Doopliss was defeated, and everybody was turned back. (Although one person, who was turned into pork by the mayor.)
