Lucky Lineup is a Battle mini-game found in Mario Party 5.
The object of the mini-game is to obtain the highest score possible by lining up the slot wheels. Basically, the player must hit a block a total of 8 times and wish for the best. The lining up can be either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. In the middle of the slot is a star, which is a wild card. This means the star can be anything. So, if the player gets two of the same above the star and below it, it will count as a full line up. If at the same time, diagonally, we get two of the same, the star will be able to match both, even if they are different.
There are a total of three different pictures the player can get in the slot wheel. There's a Koopa Shell, which is worth 5 points when matched, a cherry, which is worth 10 points when matched, and a Lucky Number Seven, which is worth 50 points when matched. The player with the most points in the end wins.
The backdrop is different than in any other game, but not very remarkable. It seems to take place inside a building with little to no decoration. As the game begins, the player is able to see a Shy Guy randomly walking in the background. A bit more interesting is the slot machine itself, with catchy, bright colors.
