- In the latest Nintendo Direct on April 1, 2015, Mewtwo was stated to be released as downloadable content for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U on April 28, 2015, while Lucas was revealed for a planned release in June; additional outfits and headgear for Miis were also revealed to be released on April 15. The next waves of Super Smash Bros. amiibo were announced for release in May, July, and September 2015. A new application called amiibo Tap: Nintendo's Greatest Bits will be available on the Wii U eShop in spring 2015. Super Mario 64 and Yoshi's Island DS were released on Wii U Virtual Console on April 1, 2015, while in Europe Super Mario 64, Mario Kart DS, WarioWare: Touched!, and Donkey Kong 64 were released, and in Japan New Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong 64 were released; Paper Mario and (in North America) Yoshi Touch & Go have also been planned for release. Yoshi's Woolly World was confirmed to be released alongside Yarn Yoshi amiibo on June 26, 2015 in Europe and Australia, and in the fall of 2015 in North America. Mario Maker was confirmed to be released in September 2015. The Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 DLC as well as an update featuring a new 200cc engine class will be released on April 23, 2015.
- Mario Party 10 (pictured) was released in the Americas and Europe on March 20, 2015. The Super Mario amiibo line was also released on the same day in both regions.
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars was released as a digital download for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Nintendo eShop on March 5, 2015, in the Americas and on March 20, 2015, in Europe, and both digitally and at retail in Japan on March 19, 2015
- A special Mario - Gold Edition amiibo has been released exclusively at Walmart stores alongside the other Super Mario amiibo figures and Mario Party 10 on March 20, 2015 in the Americas.
