Gloam Valley
Gloam Valley is the setting of Chapter 2 in Super Paper Mario. It within itself doesn't appear much throughout the chapter, but Merlee's Mansion, located in the swamp, is vastly explored.
A Brief Description
The only notable event that occurred in the Gloam Swamp was when Boomer joined Mario's party. The valley, much like Twilight Town, is in a perpetual state of twilight.

Template:Spoiler After finding the Orange Pure Heart's tower in the Flipside Outskirts, Mario and his friends gained access to the Gloam Swamp through the Orange Door. The Gloam Swamp was a swamp in a perpetual sunset, and was quite beautiful indeed. Mixed in it were strange foliage and perplexing beasts, such as Growmebas. Princess Peach proved her worth in the swamp; without her, Mario probably wouldn't have gotten through.
Near the end of the swamp, after tussling with a Growmeba, Mario met the bomb Pixl, Boomer. Boomer gave Mario a quiz, which he easily won. Overjoyed, Boomer didn't hesitate to join Mario on his quest. Boomer proved as useful as Peach, and right from the get-go destroyed the blocks that were at the time preventing their passage.
It wasn't long after that that Mario saw Merlee's Mansion in the distance. What would happen next? Template:Endspoiler
