Some of the boxes' colors are really bright. May they be dimmed down? PikaSamus (talk) 21:25, 3 June 2014 (EDT)
- They're not that bright. Besides, dimming them down any further than they are makes them look faded and/or downright sucky (ever tried dimming yellow?), not to mention harder to tell apart (blue-green; pink-red-orange), especially for colour-blind folks. It took the admins a while to settle on a colour palette with all that in mind, and I think it's fine as is. - Walkazo 15:31, 4 June 2014 (EDT)
TPP: Create a separate color for joke proposals
This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment. |

This coloring system looks fine and all, but I would like to make a separate color for joke proposals, for many reasons. First, it distinguishes the joke proposals from the rest. This would give users and administrators an easier task of looking for joke proposals. Second, it occurs to me that users are complaining how bright this page's color code is. Luckily, I'm proposing that the new color be black. Be sure to contact me in the Comments section about what color you would like, other than black.
Here's what the page will look like if the proposal passes.

- Baby Luigi (talk) Making a color for proposals that are inherently discouraged from making isn't a good idea in the first place. It's much better if we applied the words "(Joke Proposal)" or something rather than create a separate new color for this. Most other joke proposals are deleted. The ones that are archived...well....are exceptions and the latter pie proposal served a purpose rather than be nonconstructive and generally stupid. Exceptions don't make a rule, and this sort of change is very unnecessary. Besides, you missed a joke proposal in your work page
- Koopakoolklub (talk) Per Baby Luigi. And I think the PIE proposals are archived because of how many people voted on them.
- Ghost Jam (talk) Per Baby Luigi. Very few joke proposals make it to the archive without being outright deleted (in 8 years, precisely two have made it in and those were due to exceptions outlined by me in the comments). Being that the number is so low and likely to stay low, I'm more in favor of adding (Joke Proposal) to the title on the table of contents. Perhaps removing them from the formal archive altogether, moving them to userspace or BJAODN.
- SuperYoshiBros (talk) Per Baby Weegee and the supernatural jelly.
- Dashbot (talk) Per Ghost Jam, it's unnecessary to create a color for Joke proposals that are supposed to be deleted on sight.
- Green 6017 King Of The Slowpoke (talk) Well joke proposals kind of have there own little section. Its called the BJAODN.

But... joke proposals aren't allowed. They're deleted on sight, so they don't get archived. Triple K, Skye 17:09, 10 June 2014 (EDT)
- Ghost Jam's PIE proposals are both archived. PikaSamus (talk) 19:03, 10 June 2014 (EDT)
- Oh, right... forgot about those. Triple K, Skye 19:01, 11 June 2014 (EDT)
- Mine are exceptions due to administrative flam-foolery. I archived the first one myself, in my userspace. The second was archived as part of the yearly April Fools archive of jokes. These exceptions don't apply to every joke proposal made. -- Chris 13:25, 15 June 2014 (EDT)

I don't think black is the best color. The other colors are kind of soft, so black really sticks out like a sore thumb. I use a custom CSS, so, unfortunately, I can't see the colors as readily as most users. White isn't used yet, so try white...? Or cyan? It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 16:16, 13 June 2014 (EDT)
Yeah... in my opinion, they shouldn't even be archived normally. They should be in BJAODN rather than grouped with all these "normal" proposals. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 17:34, 13 June 2014 (EDT)
