Flutter Wings

Flutter Wings are power-ups that first appeared in Yoshi's New Island. It has a similar effect to the Invincibility Leaf from Super Mario 3D Land, meaning that it only appears after Yoshi loses three lives in a level that is not completed. The anthropomorphized Warp Pip gives Yoshi this power-up. When Yoshi loses a life with Flutter Wings still attached, Golden Flutter Wings appear for Yoshi to grant invincibility. Completing all the levels without Flutter Wings will trigger the battle with Bowser before saving Baby Luigi and the Stork.
