Villager is the main character in the Animal Crossing series and has appeared as a spectator in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Smashville. He appears as a playable character in the new Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Here he can use his net to ensnare enemies, use a shovel to bury them, knock them over with a flowerpot, drop a bowling ball, and catch projectiles that he can then use once. He can also attack with an umbrella, a slingshot, fireworks or by pulling weeds. He is also able to hover using balloons that are either the ones that carry gifts and need to be shot down using a slingshot, or the ones from Balloon Fight. He can also plant a tree and cut it down with the axe, knocking an opponent offscreen.[1]

Trivia
- In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the randomized spectators is a male villager (the one who gets a trophy) who looks like the playable Villager in the Wii U Smash game, except with a different hairstyle. Another male villager uses the hairstyle of the playable Villager.
