Mega Man
Mega Man is the protagonist of a famous video game series of the same name. He also made appearances in the Mario series, but only in the Club Nintendo comics.
In 1992, he was introduced in "Super Mario: Die Bescherung". In this comic, he joins Mario and Luigi's Christmas party, without affecting the story in any way. His first and only major appearance was in the 1993 comic "Super Mario: Die Verwandlung", where he served as Dr. Light's assistant. Besides taking care of the doctor and welcoming his visitors, Mega Man also drives the car they use for catching Wario.
After twenty years of not appearing in any Mario-related media, Mega Man was confirmed to be a playable guest character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Mega Man has a moveset centered on shooting his opponents. His recovery is using his robotic dog Rush, similar to Sonic's recovery. Mega Man also uses attacks gained from robot masters in the series, such as Metalman and Gutsman. [1]
