Old Photo

The Old Photo is a special item found in Paper Mario.

In the events of Chapter 4 in the game, Mario attempted to go to Shy Guy's Toy Box and defeated the Shy Guys and General Guy. After defeating General Guy, Mario can take Koopa Koot's thought up errands. If Mario attempts to take the second errand after Chapter 4, Koopa Koot would give Mario 3 Star Pieces instead of a single Coin. Koopa Koot's second favor after Chapter 4 is that he hears that the Koopa Troopas are recently talking and they talked that Koopa Koot is not popular anymore and cheap as he was frustrated. So he talked the story to Mario about his time during his young ages but suddenly got cut out with his story as he only said very cut out words. So he decided that there is a Boo from Boo's Mansion that has the Old Photo as Koopa Koot wanted the picture back.

When Mario goes to Boo's Mansion and talks to the first Boo appearing in the living room, he says that Koopa Koot has his own motto, the motto Koopa Koot made is "If it moves, use it until it drops". He also mentioned that he got in some fights over his personality back then. After one really bad fight, he decided to start traveling a lot. He said that the photo has Koopa Koot's traveling buddies. When he was finished talking about Koopa Koot, he gives the Old Photo to Mario.

When Mario goes back to the Koopa Village and returned the Old Photo to Koopa Koot, he suddenly talked about the past when he used to have passion when being that young. When he is done talking about it, he rewards Mario a single Coin.
