Gold Bones is a rare item found exclusively in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It is the equivalent to a 1-Up Mushroom in the other games, as if Luigi loses all of his HP in the game, and has one Gold Bone, the Polterpup, from the main story, will come heal him in exchange of one of them.
They are usually found in furniture, especially in drawers, barrels or other furniture. They are more likely to appear if the player has a large amount of treasure. There is only one available in each mission. The Gold Bones also count towards the treasure total, if the player finishes the mission without losing all HP, the coin total will be increased by 50G.
