Talk:Super Star
Why does "Starman" redirect here? There's a difference between the collectible Stars and the invincibility-granting Starmen. Phoenix Rider 14:34, 10 August 2007 (EDT)
Collectible Stars? You mean Power Stars? I think you are talking about the collectible stars in the MP series. I think the stars in the MP series are in fact Power Stars, although they still look like regular stars. Confusing...Knife (talk) 16:50, 10 August 2007 (EDT)
SM Galaxy
The Star article has a line, "Stars will return in Super Mario Galaxy". Now, I would remove the "will" in "will return", but I am unsure whether this statement refers to Power Stars (which would render it prone to deletion), or perhaps a Rainbow Star (also as such). I am not far enough into the game to determine whether there is another form of star. Anyone know?--Naftaliash827 (talk)
It is a power star. These power stars don't power the castle like in SM64. This time they power the Comet observatory. I know. I have the game.~Μαριοθανικαλ 22:13, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Since it refers to a Power Star, I guess I'll delete that line. Thanks!--Naftaliash827 (talk)
Uh...
'In all versions of Animal Crossing, the Starman can be The Legendary Starfy, the main character resembles a Starman. Also, the first boss is similar to a Blooper obtained as an item to go in the player's house;'
Sorry, but that just makes no sense at all.

Tears of Light in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Hello everyone! I'd like to say that an item appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks plays a similar role as the star. It's called the Tear of Light. But this effect is only seen in the Dark Realm. So I'm asking to the players who finished the game to leave a comment. Thank you!--Qaramana 16:03, 5 February 2010 (EST)
What?
Why is there a Wario land template? --Koopayoshi 11:14, 31 December 2010 (EST)
- I don't remember it there. Deleted. SWFlash
Mario Kart Wii Question
- Does anyone know if the Star protects you against the Bullet Bill item? I was hoping to add some details regarding this on the article.
M&SG (talk) 13:28, 26 May 2011 (EDT)
- If memory serves, it does. I don't think there is anything that it does not protect you from, other than falling into a pit or something, of course. Mario4Ever (talk)
Rainbow Star
Why we don't split Rainbow Star and make a own page. Because the Rainbow Star gives M or L super speed higher and longer jumps and gives M or L a look like a rainbow while Starman does not. --Armin00

Name
Shouldn't we move this to Super Star? It's the most recent name, isn't it?--File:EmblemMasterJr.png BowserJunior RULES! 13:02, 22 January 2013 (EST)
There's already an article for that.--Prince Ludwig (talk) 07:20, 23 January 2013 (EST)

Like MM51 said, the Rainbow Star is different from a regular star in a few ways. It deserves its own article.

I remember the Invincibility Star giving Mario a rainbow look, a higher jump, and a faster running speed in the New Super Mario Bros. games as well. If the effects are pretty much the same, but the item is different, does it warrant a merge? It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 14:46, 2 April 2013 (EDT)
- I remember it giving the rainbow look in Mario Kart DS as well Yoshi876 (talk)
- Honestly, I think Invincible Mario and Rainbow Mario are essentially the same form. The only effect that's slightly different is the duration. But, if we're going to create a separate article for Rainbow Mario, we might as well create a separate article for Rainbow Star. Or, we can merge Rainbow Mario with Invincible Mario.

Like MM51 said, you can jump higher and for a longer period of time. Plus, you look more like a Rainbow with the star. Plus, the Rainbow star looks different from the regular star.
