Octopus Dance is a minigame appearing in the Wii U title, Nintendo Land. This rhythm-based minigame is set underwater and requires the player to use the control sticks and motion controls of the GamePad to perform specific dance moves to make your Mii copy the moves from the diver character seen in the Game & Watch game of the same name. The player starts out with a few hearts, which decrease as the dance move is followed incorrectly. If one manages to achieve a perfect combo on each round, a coin is rewarded. In Round 3, a smaller, red octopus appears, sometimes squirting ink onto one screen. The player must pay attention to the opposite screen they are using in order to complete a dance move. Apart from motion control, the game also uses the inner camera of the Pad and displays the video it takes on the television screen [1]. Octopus can be seen in the background but appears to serve no cause in the game.
