Two Porcupos.

Porcupo are purple hedgehog-like creatures found in Super Mario Bros. 2. They pace back and forth and are usually in groups of around two or more. In the original Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES, Porcupo were colored black (although this was most likely due to the coloring limitations of the NES, as official artwork still depicted Porcupo as purple).

Appearances In Other Media

Porcupo made only one small appearance in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, as antagonists in the episode "On Her Majesty's Sewer Service / 9001: A Mario Odyssey".

Trivia

• Although unconfirmed, the Harry Hedgehogs from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and the Spinies of Mario Kart 64 may be relatives of Porcupo.
