- Mario Kart: Super Circuit (pictured) has the most race tracks in the Mario Kart series; in total, it has forty race tracks.
- In the Japanese version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Larson's house had a Toad-shaped chalk outline and dried blood on the floor. This was removed in the North America version.
- In Super Mario 3D Land, Fire Mario can use a fireball to burn a boomerang that Boomerang Mario has thrown.
- Baron Brrr's name is a reference to the American Politician and 3rd American Vice-president Aaron Burr.
