New Super Mario Bros. series

Seeing as there are now four New Super Mario Bros. games, should there be a page for the subseries? Pokemega32 06:56, 8 June 2012 (EDT)

We should, seeing as that we have series articles for the Mario Baseball and Mario Strikers series, despite both of them currently only have two games in the series. GreenDisaster 07:25, 8 June 2012 (EDT)
Apples and oranges. The NSMB series is an extension of the core Super Mario platformer series: split it out and you have to split out the original SMB series, figure out what to do with SMW and SM3DL, and decide whether to include SMG and SMG2 in with the direct-sequel-less 3D platformers or give it its own subseries (and if you include remakes, SMA and SMAS would need addressing too). It's a very slippery slope. By comparison, even if there's only two of each, the Baseball and Strikers titles are completely unique from any other sports title. The only way you could not have them exist as series is by collapsing all the sports games into one mega subseries, but given the number of Tennis and Golf games, that would make organization an inefficient mess. Another thing to consider is that once you have series pages, that means rearranging the Histories too, which would be a huge undertaking, and would necessitate moving a lot of the core series info way far down the Histories. Seeing as these games are the backbone of Mario franchise as a whole, keeping them together, as high as possible on the pages, makes far more sense. Reorganizing Super Mario (series) to lump the different Super Mario branches might be a good idea, however, as long as there's still a bullet-point list at the top showing the straight chronological order of all of 'em, or something like that. - Walkazo 20:47, 8 June 2012 (EDT)

Concerning the trivia section.

"Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! (pictured) is the first game in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series which Pauline is giving a voice."

Not only is this grammatically incorrect, it's also wrong. When Donkey Kong '94 was played on Super Game Boy, Pauline's cries of "help!" could be heard in a digitized voice. It doesn't work on emulators, but I recall seeing a video of it some time ago which I can't seem to find again. So if someone else could provide proof, that would be much appreciate it. - SiFi 07:25, 16 June 2012 (EDT)
