Kangaroo

A kangaroo bounds Green Yoshi to new heights.

Kangaroos are a species of animal that appear in Yoshi's Island DS. Yoshis can ride these kangaroos in a manner similar to how they ride Lakitu's Cloud in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island; however, the kangaroos differ greatly from the Lakitu's Clouds in that they, rather than giving Yoshi the ability to float around, give him the ability to bounce up and down at an extreme height. Yoshi can also ride a kangaroo for an unlimited amount of time, unlike Lakitu's Cloud. Kangaroos are never found in the normal mass of levels; however, they are always found in Coin-filled areas sectioned away by Warp Pipes.
