Team Members

The DK Kongs have the most widespread team in the game. They have two Koopa Troopa's, two Koopa Paratroopa's, both the Goomba's (Goomba and Paragoomba), and three different, notable primates (Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Dixie Kong). The DK Kongs team marked Dixie Kong's first appearance in any traditional Mario game. Dixie Kong is also the unlockable of the team, unlocked by defeating Challenge Mode as the DK Kongs.

The team reappeared in Mario Super Sluggers, now known as the DK Wilds and its home stadium is DK Jungle. The DK Wilds is primarily composed of Donkey Kong and some of the Kong family members. Almost all the Kongs share good chemistry with each other. However, in an ironic twist, the team is also composed of King K. Rool and four Kritters, who all have bad chemistry with the Kongs. Baby DK is also compatible with other teams, such as the Yoshi Eggs, where he shows good chemistry with all the Yoshis. When Diddy Kong is the captain they are called the Diddy Monkeys.
